Bonfils Blood Center Joins the Conversation; Launches Facebook and Twitter Pages 

DENVER (May 4, 2009) – Bonfils Blood Center, joining the growing number of businesses utilizing social media to extend its brand messaging, is pleased to announce the launch its new Facebook and Twitter pages. With millions of people using these social networking platforms to connect with family, friends and businesses, Bonfils is eager to engage its stakeholders through the popular medium. 

Bonfils’ Facebook Fan Page  and Twitter profile allow our blood donors, supporters and the community-at-large to join in the live-saving conversation. The blood center’s Facebook page is populated with information and photos regarding Bonfils’ events and promotions as well as comments and notes from blood donors and recipients alike. Follow the blood center’s “tweets” to receive real-time Bonfils news highlighting high-gallon donor celebrations, fundraising events and more. 

For more than 65 years, Bonfils Blood Center has successfully managed the community blood supply and played an integral role in Colorado’s healthcare system. Bonfils Blood Center supplies blood to more than 200 healthcare facilities and needs to collect more than 3,300 blood donations weekly to meet the needs of the community and to be prepared for any unexpected events.
