Teaming Up to Save Lives

Posted on 07/01/2018

Bonfils Blood Center and Colorado first responders are Teaming Up to Save Lives this summer and you are invited to get in on the celebration of lifesavers in our community.

First responders know firsthand just how important it is to have a safe and ready blood supply on the shelf at all times to meet patient needs, both routine and emergency. But during the summer, blood donations tend to drop by as much as 20 percent.

During the months of July and August we're partnering with Colorado first responder organizations, asking for their support to encourage their communities to give blood.

Take an hour and donate this summer. Show your support by posting a "selfie" of your blood donation using #TeamUp2Save. Even better, tag Bonfils Blood Center (or @bonfilsdotorg on Twitter) and the first responder organizations you wish to recognize.

As a special thank you, Bonfils Blood Center will pay it forward and make a charitable contribution of $1,000 each to these nonprofits supporting first responders:

National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Fallen Officer Fund of Douglas County Foundation

Gary Sinise Foundation
