Coloradans have again proven their generosity, turning out in large numbers to give blood and show their support for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Thursday, Aug. 31 was the biggest turnout of Bonfils donors yet for the week. Some came in specifically to help hurricane victims, others to fulfill their regularly-scheduled appointments. In all Thursday, 855 people registered, a 75-percent increase from Monday. Thanks, in part, to the help blood centers around the country have already provided, blood providers in the storm-affected region at this time are again able to meet local needs.
Bonfils donors will continue to be needed in the weeks and months to come both in our local communities and in the areas working to rebuild from this tragedy. Please help ensure an adequate blood supply across our nation by donating regularly.
