Make your vote count in Bonfils' Battle of the Badges

This article is currently under construction. Please visit bonfils.org frequently for updates.

First responders including Colorado firefighters and law enforcement are just our type of heroes. They save lives on the job every day. Many of them save lives out of uniform as well by giving blood. We need your help to celebrate our lifesavers this July during Bonfils' first-ever Battle of the Badges.

All during July, donors who come into any Bonfils community donor center or designated Battle of the Badges mobile blood drives (see list below) will be able to cast their vote for their blood donation to be in honor of local fire departments or law enforcement agencies. It's a friendly competition between Team Red (Fire) and Team Blue (Law) to help ensure donors across the state maintain a safe and ready supply of donated blood during an especially challenging time of year.

During the summer months, and especially July, blood donations tend to drop and fewer schools and businesses host blood drives due to the summer vacation season. Donations can drop by as much as 20 percent, but the need among patients is steady all year long.

When all is said and done, the team with the most votes wins bragging rights, but in the end, everyone wins as we all team up together to ensure patient needs can be met every day of the year.

Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
