We're celebrating moms, so many of whom are an inspiration. This Mother's Day we're sharing some of their stories, from moms who donate blood and/or marrow, those who are alive and well because of the generosity of blood donors and some who have been on both the giving and receiving end of those lifesaving gifts.
Bonfils is proud to partner with Levitt Pavilion Denver in Ruby Hill Park to present the following free concerts:
Bonfils Blood Center has a new computer system to track each unit of blood from point of donation to final delivery to the hospitals and patients we serve. As a result, we're excited to be able to offer Bonfils blood donors a new feature. It's called Fast Track, and it could help you save up to 20 minutes on your visit when you come to donate blood by filling out your donor health history questionnaire online instead of having our staff ask all the questions.
Sophia can't become a blood donor until she's 16, but she's already helping save lives through blood donation, by encouraging others to give.
Finding a compatible blood product for a patient transfusion isn’t always as simple as identifying their blood type. Depending upon the individual patient, it may take several days and involve Bonfils Blood Center’s Reference Laboratory, the only AABB* accredited immunohematology reference lab in Colorado and one of just 66 in the world which performs more complex testing than most hospital laboratories are equipped to handle.
