Cord Blood

Bonfils Blood Center stores approximately 2,500 cord blood units that are available for transplant and listed through the National Marrow Donor Program, Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide and Caitlin-Raymond Registries.

Last year Bonfils' Colorado Marrow Donor Program facilitated 11 cord blood transplants.

As of 2002, Bonfils Blood Center no longer accepts new cord blood donations. Funding options for Bonfils' cord blood program are being explored in hopes of being able to accept donations in the future.
